Class Descriptions
Program of Study
60 Hour Pre-License Course:
The program is broken into 3 sections 20 hours each section for a total of 60 class hours. Section I, Alabama Real Estate Law and Real Estate Math, Section II and III Real Estate Principles and Procedures. A recap follows:
Section I: Alabama Laws and Rules and Regulations covering License requirements, Licensees activities, Real Estate Consumers Agency and Disclosure Act (RECAD) and Real Estate Math. 20 classroom hours.
Section II: General Real Estate Principles covering Listing property, assessment of property value, property valuation, nature of real property and agency relationship with seller, Selling property, contracts and offers, characteristics of real property, advising buyers and services provided to buyers. 20 classroom hours.
Section III: General Real Estate Principles continued with Settlement/transfer of ownership, tax, titles and settlement procedures, financing sources, types of loans, terms and conditions, Professional responsibilities, and fair practice. 20 classroom hours.
Completion Requirements: Alabama Real Estate Commission requires a minimum of 90 per cent attendance and a minimum final grade of 70 percent to receive a Certificate of Completion.
Costs:$350 includes books and all materials.

30 Hour Post-License Course:
All recent Real Estate licensees MUST attend and pass a course centered around practical "how-to" techniques, Creating a Business Plan, Prospecting, Working with Buyers and Sellers, Negotiating, Fair Housing. Live instructor taught courses $200.

15 Hour Continuing Education Cram Courses
Complete all the required 15 hours of CE Credits in 2 days
Per AREC, YOU MUST BE PRESENT 100% OF THE TIME TO RECEIVE CE CREDIT
Cost: $150. for both days. Total of 15 hours C.E. credit
This cram class is reserved for those who need/want all 15 hours.
This will include the required Risk Management course also.
"ABR" Accredited Buyer Representation Designation
Prepares Realtors to represent Buyer clients with fidelity and quality service. Developes methods for building Buyer Representation business, utilitizing self customizing tools. (carries 12 hours CE Credit).
Short Sales and Foreclosure SFR Certification
Realtors will learn the short sales and foreclosure process, how to tap into the foreclosure market, perform need assestment and working with REO Companies. (carries 6 hours CE Credit).
