Class Descriptions

Program of Study


  • July 26 & 27, 2016 Friday & Saturday
  • All 15 hours needed to renew your license including the required risk management courses.
  • Courses cannot be broken up. Must be present both days!
  • Time: Class begins at 9:00 a.m. Both Days
  • Location:1593 Hughes Road, Madison, AL 35758 (in the Keller Williams Realty Training Facility)

  • Cancellation/Refund Policy: If cancelled 72 Hours prior to class, you will receive your course amount refund minus a $15. admin fee. NO SHOWS and/or cancellations with-in the 72 hour window prior to class time will be charged the full amount with no refund.
  • RETURNED CHECK FEE: There is a $50.00 charge for each returned check. Check amount and NSF fee must be paid by money order or cash.

  • Per the Alabama Real Estate Commission (AREC) you must be present 100% of the time to receive CE Credit.

    60 Hour Salesperson Pre-License Course:

      The program is broken into 3 sections 20 hours each section for a total of 60 class hours. Section I, Alabama Real Estate Law and Real Estate Math, Section II and III Real Estate Principles and Procedures. A recap follows:

      Section I: Alabama Laws and Rules and Regulations covering License requirements, Licensees activities, Real Estate Consumers Agency and Disclosure Act (RECAD) and Real Estate Math. 20 classroom hours.

      Section II: General Real Estate Principles covering Listing property, assessment of property value, property valuation, nature of real property and agency relationship with seller, Selling property, contracts and offers, characteristics of real property, advising buyers and services provided to buyers. 20 classroom hours.

      Section III: General Real Estate Principles continued with Settlement/transfer of ownership, tax, titles and settlement procedures, financing sources, types of loans, terms and conditions, Professional responsibilities, and fair practice. 20 classroom hours.

      Completion Requirements: Alabama Real Estate Commission requires a minimum of 90 per cent attendance and a minimum final grade of 70 percent.

      Costs:$375 includes books and all materials.

      30 Hour Post-License Course: All recent Real Estate licensees MUST attend and pass a course centered around practical "how-to" techniques, Creating a Business Plan, Prospecting, Working with Buyers and Sellers, Negotiating, Fair Housing. Live instructor taught course $200. Class is held over two weekends on Friday and Saturday. This is a 4 day class 9 am to 4:30 pm each day.

    Alabama Real Estate Commission (AREC) requires you be present 100% of time for CE Classes to receive CE Credit. If you arrive late for class you will not receive CE Credit.

    Oh Baby, X,Y,Z and Me: Designed to help understand the differences and commonalities of the generations and how that affects their buying and selling of real estate. A fun class with case studies and group involvement.

    Play Nice With the Other Kids in the Sandbox: Real Estate Etiquette. Designed to help real estate agents professionalism, people skills and to foster better relationships with clients/customers and other real estate agents. To help develop safety practices.

    Code of Ethics Describe general business ethics and compare and contrast with the Realtor's Code of Ethics. Focusing on case studies to help foster a better understanding of how the code can help relations with non member real estate agents. A FUN CLASS

    "ABR" Accredited Buyer Representation Designation Prepares Realtors to represent Buyer clients with fidelity and quality service. Developes methods for building Buyer Representation business, utilitizing self customizing tools. (12 hours CE Credit).

    Short Sales and Foreclosure SFR Certification Realtors will learn the short sales and foreclosure process, how to tap into the foreclosure market, perform need assestment and working with REO Companies. (6 hours CE Credit).
